Hi, I’m Thomas J Stevens, Diamonds & Colored Gemstone Graduate (GIA).
I created this website to help you find your perfect diamond. This page features jewelers which I found rate highly not only in customer service but in quality when it comes to natural yellow canary diamonds.
About me: I am a Diamonds Graduate and Colored Gemstone Graduate (both through GIA). This website is my little project as I realized that it can be incredibly hard for a first time buyer to make sense of things when faced with the overwhelming amount of information out there. My goal is to provide you with a handy easy-to-follow free guide which will help you find fantastic deals. Everything here is given to you completely FREE. Commissions received from merchants (if there is a sale within a month of you clicking through one of my links) are taken from the jewelers’ advertising budget, and actually helps keep their costs down: They only have to pay me if there is an actual sale. This in turn helps pay for the costs of running this website and also makes it possible for my daughter to see her favorite bands!! Talk about a Win-Win-Win-Win situation!
Happy diamond hunting!

James Allen has established a strong brand and is now a major online presences when it comes to the diamond retail business. They are not diamond manufacturers (the industry term for diamond cutters) but instead provide a platform for manufacturers to make their product available to the public with high quality 360° photos. James Allen differs from a drop shipper in that they inspect every item they offer for sale. Every item sold by James Allen is inspected by their quality control department prior to shipment to ensure care and satisfaction. James Allen photographers photograph every diamond to make sure the lighting and environment for each photograph is neutral and that the photos are always done to the same standard.
While James Allen may not specialize specifically in fancy color diamonds, they represent many color diamond manufacturers and are thereby able to offer a good variety of color diamonds, including many beautiful yellow diamonds in many shapes and sizes.

More Information On Yellow Diamonds
When searching for yellow diamonds you may encounter the following terms used to refer to yellow diamonds: Canary, or Canary Yellow Diamond. Both terms are commonly used when talking about yellow diamonds. Zimmy is a mine specific term used to refer to a particularly vivid natural yellow diamond. It refers to vivid yellow diamonds from the Zimmy mine in Sierra Leone. Zimmy diamonds are quite famous for their vivid color. They make many other yellows pale in comparison.
There are a number of subtle differences that come into play when dealing with colored diamonds as opposed to dealing with colorless diamonds. For this reason I recommend working with a jeweler that specializes in fancy color diamonds. (see the top of this page)
Grading fancy color diamonds is a complex and specialized task. It takes highly trained laboratory graders to complete the process accurately. The experts that designed the Gemological Institute of America‘s system for color-grading fancy color diamonds made sure to incorporate the fact colored diamonds come in a variety of color depths.
An expert in colorless diamonds will not necessarily be familiar with color diamonds.
The cut shape that works well for colorless diamonds may not necessarily be the best one for a fancy color diamond.
Another big difference is that color diamonds are more frequently used as investments than would be the case with colorless diamonds.
Yellow diamonds are noted for existing in a wide range of saturations. Some other colors do not have the same type of range in saturations.
A jeweler that is experienced in dealing with colored stones will be able to help you find a nice yellow diamond that has good saturation and is a vibrant yellow.
The jewelers I have listed have been chosen based on a number of factors including: Responsiveness, quality of product, independent reviews, longevity of business, financial stability, easy to use web interface, good standing in jewelers’ associations, but most importantly solid customer service. After looking into hundreds of companies I ended up with what I consider to be the best places to buy yellow diamonds online.
